PRP & PRF treatments in London
PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma) and PRF (Platelet-Rich Fibrin) are autologous therapies that promote natural healing and repair. Autologous therapies harness the power of concentrated platelets from your blood, for regeneration and healing. PRP and PRF stimulate collagen production and improve the overall tone and texture of the skin. They also reduce fine lines and wrinkles, minimise acne and other scars, tighten pores, and enhance skin elasticity. It can be used to repair scalp and boost hair growth.

What does this treatment involve?
A topical anaesthetic is applied to the area that will be treated. Our practitioner will draw a sample of blood. This is then spun in a centrifuge machine, then injected into the treatment area. This treatment can also be used in conjunction with other treatments such as microneedling, microdermabrasion, facials, and dermal fillers.
Does it hurt?
In general, injections are not painful. This may vary by the patient or by the area of the body in which the injection is being made.
Local anaesthetic can be used to manage any discomfort.
How long will results last?
This very much depends on the purpose of the treatment (face, body rejuvenation or hair loss) and since it comes from your own body the results vary for each person. Our patients have noticeable improvement in the tone, texture, and overall quality of their skin. Results begin to show 3-4 weeks after the treatment session and continue to improve gradually with time. One to six treatment sessions are generally recommended, spaced 1-2 months apart, to achieve the best outcome.
How Platelet-Rich Plasma differs from Platelet-Rich Fibrin?
With PRP, your blood is spun in a centrifuge at high speed, completely separating the plasma layer. With PRF your blood is spun at a lower speed so that some of the white blood cells, stem cells, and fibrin remain in the platelet layer. PRF contains approximately 10 times the platelet concentration that is found within the body, whereas PRP contains roughly 5 times.
PRP releases growth factors for a few hours and PRF releases them for up to a week.
The final difference is how the treatments are used. PRP is typically performed as a facial or microneedling session while PRF is used like a filler. The fibrin and slow-release growth factors in PRF build volume in the skin, so this natural filler is a wonderful alternative to synthetic filler.
What are the side effects?
This treatment is considered safe with mild and temporary side effects. Common reactions include temporary swelling, redness, bruising, and slight discomfort at the injection sites, which typically resolve within a few days.

PRP - Platelet-Rich Plasma
PRP is a well-known therapy traditionally used in medical procedures to help heal tendons, ligaments, joints, and muscles. Its regenerative qualities are used in aesthetic medicine to achieve youthful skin and encourage hair regrowth.
The PRP facial often referred to as the ‘vampire facelift’, uses the healing properties of platelets from your blood to rejuvenate your skin.
The treatment starts with a small blood sample drawn from the client’s arm. The blood is then processed in a centrifuge to isolate the concentrated platelets rich in growth factors that benefit cell regeneration.
PRF - Platelet-Rich Fibrin
PRF represents the next-generation PRP serum differing mainly in its preparation. While PRP is created by spinning the blood in a centrifuge at a high speed, PRF is processed at a slower speed, to preserve the fibrin matrix alongside the growth factors. This makes PRF equally effective for skin and hair rejuvenation.
PRP and PRF Skin Rejuvenation
When the platelets are re-injected into the skin, the growth factors stimulate collagen production, rejuvenating the skin. Both PRP and PRF trigger the body’s natural healing processes, resulting in visible improvements in the texture and appearance of the skin over time.
PRP and PRF are excellent anti-ageing tools as they stimulate collagen, tighten skin and restore facial volume. Common areas for treatment include laugh lines, marionette lines, forehead lines, under eyes, and crow’s feet. They can also be used to rejuvenate the neck and hands.
